What is YIN YOGA?

Yin Yoga is a slow-paced, passive and contemplative style of yoga, incorporating principles of traditional Chinese medicine. Poses may be held for up to five minutes (longer than for active styles of yoga).
The sequences of postures are meant to stimulate the energy channels of the body known as meridians in Chinese medicine and target the connective tissues of the body—the tendons, joints, fascia networks and ligaments. It is suitable for all levels and no warm-up or experience is necessary.
