Hi, I’m Lisa Russell.

Using a calm, friendly and supportive style I teach Hatha, Yin and Restorative Yoga, Nidra and Meditation with an emphasis on kindness and self-awareness.

As a Reiki Master I also want to bring yoga to the whole self, beyond the mat, and create a nurturing and compassionate space for dealing with the challenges we all face throughout our lives.

I love teaching yoga and feel blessed to share this ancient and still relevant wisdom. My commitment is to guide you through your yoga practice and offer clarity and understanding. My gentle and mindful approach aims to help you find greater enjoyment for life through mind, body and heart.

My skills and experiences have brought me into contact with people at all levels and I enjoy working in a collaborative and nurturing way, teaching what I love and being part of the yoga community. I currently work as a freelancer and also run private classes, workshops, events and retreats.

MY APPROACH

I would like everyone to feel welcome, seen and acknowledged in my classes. It is important to me to provide an accessible yoga practice, offering alternatives or adaptations to suit the needs and wellbeing of the students. I encourage you to feel ‘Kindness’ towards your body, thoughts and feelings. This will best shape your yoga practice as you learn to tune inwards and not punish yourself to ‘achieve’ more. Be more gentle and listen inwards and tension will release.
